/>Paula Marshall, the costar of ABC's new Sunday night PI-show "Snoops," is still stung by the way the net handled her last show, "Cupid."

"Yes, I'm bitter dammit," Marshall admitted, when asked if the cancellation bothered her. "I'm angry"

The short-lived show starred Marshall and Jeremy Piven, and followed a man who believed he was a real-life cupid as he helped set people up. The show premiered on Saturday night at 10 p.m., and failed to capture an audience. The show was shuffled to different times, including Thursday night, before finally being canceled by the net.

The actress said she was hesitant to join a new drama on ABC because of the experience. As soon as she was offered the part on "Snoops," she called Jamie Tarses, President ABC Entertainment, and told her she didn't want to take the part if the show would air on Thursday or Saturday night, the nights formerly occupied by "Cupid." The fact that David E. Kelley was the producer/creator didn't matter as much as the time and day. In fact, Marshall says, she was actually hoping to join a comedy this season.

Still, while she is happy where she ended up, the failure of "Cupid" still amazes her.

"I believed in that show," she says. "How could America not appreciate it?"
